Design + Planning
From your brief we explore creative ideas and establish the project vision, where we refine and detail the chosen concept into actionable plans.
We then provides plans that meet all regulatory and technical requirements for securing approval, ensuring compliance with local guidelines while showcasing the project's design intent.

Building Regulations
We ensure your project is fully compliant with all legal and technical standards. We prepare detailed drawings and specifications, covering structural elements, fire safety, insulation, accessibility, and more for Building Control approval and the completion certificate

Overheating Assessment
Simplified Method
The Weighted U-Value Calculation service evaluates a building's thermal performance by determining average heat transfer rates across components like walls, windows, and roofs. idnetifying heat loss areas with a report to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards.
Please Note: All services are on a remote basis.
/ Design + Planning Drawings
We start by discussing your ideas, goals, budget, timeline, and any site-specific challenges to best understand your vision, after which we begin with concept design. We then refine the design and develop it further, addressing technical & regulatory requirements, layouts, materials, and sustainability features.
We’ll prepare and submit a planning application for approval. Once submitted we will work with the planning officers to dispel any doubts they have about your project, to secure consent.
Depending on the complexity of your project, we may recommend submitting a pre-application. This will enable us to make amendments to your proposal prior to making your full planning application. By doing so the planning officers will be more supportive of your proposal than they might otherwise have been.

/ Technical Design + Building Regulations
When your planning application has been approved, we will move onto the technical design stage where your vision will be transformed into something ready to build.
You will have a full set of building regulations, tender and construction drawings with your full specifications detailing all materials that have permanent connections to the structure of the building including doors, windows, downlights, switches and sockets, radiators, floorboards, tiles, and kitchen and bathroom fixtures.

/ SAP/EPC for New-Builds
We gather detailed information about the property, review architectural plans and specifications, including details on insulation, windows, heating systems, and any renewable energy installations. Using this information we input the data into approved SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) software to calculate the property’s energy efficiency ratings, carbon emissions, and estimated energy costs. Ensuring the property complies with Building Regulations and meets all required energy efficiency standards.
Once the calculations are collated, we compile the results into a formal EPC document. This report includes the property’s energy efficiency rating, recommendations for further improvements, and an overview of its environmental performance. After lodging the EPC with the central register, we provide it to the builder or developer.

/ Overheating Assessment Calculation
The Weighted U-Value Calculation service evaluates a building's thermal performance by determining the average heat transfer rate across its components, such as walls, windows, and roofs. Using material properties, thicknesses, and surface areas, individual U-values are calculated and combined into a weighted average to ensure accuracy and compliance with energy efficiency standards. This service helps identify areas of heat loss and provides tailored recommendations to improve insulation, reduce heating and cooling costs, and satisfy building regulations Part O & L.
